Do I need to run a Bitcoin node?
No. Pay from any wallet that can send to a Bech32 address — Phoenix, Sparrow, BlueWallet, Muun, or your exchange. We watch the chain with Blockstream's free Esplora API.
What if the price moves mid-transaction?
We lock the USD total for 20 minutes. Within that window your payment is accepted even if BTC/USD drifts a few percent. Unpaid after expiry? Zero cost.
Is this legal?
Completely. CryptoShip is a postage reseller. All labels are real, authorized USPS and UPS postage bought through our carrier integration. Fraudulent postage is a federal offense — don't do it.
What happens after 24 hours?
The PDF link expires and we purge the row from SQLite. Download it once, save it locally. We keep nothing — that's the whole point.
Can I ship anonymously?
You must provide a real ship-from and ship-to address — that's the carriers' requirement, not ours. But CryptoShip never asks for your name, email, or payment card. We hash IPs before they ever touch disk.
